Lightning - Lyn

In an old entry I wrote about the tropical rain in Ghana. Here in Ho they don't call it tropical rain though, they just call it rain. But as a person from Northern Europe it makes quit an impression the first time you experiencing it. One of the things that are much different from storms in Denmark, hard and cold as they may be, is the power of the lightening.

For a long time I have tried to snap a photo of such an lightening, but with no success. But two weeks ago in the middle of the dry season on a beach east of Elmina I got the picture. Since it is the dry season the rainfall was light (for westafrica) but the lightening was powerful enough.
